Domino Publishing Company – Summer Internship 2025

Domino Publishing Company is seeking a summer intern. We are looking for someone who could commit to 2-3 days per week starting in May and would work alongside Domino Publishing’s Licensing and Creative Synch Teams in Brooklyn. Candidates eager to learn about Music Licensing, Creative Synch and Publishing are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities:

1. Assist licensing team with their day-to-day tasks related to synchronization licensing, mechanical licensing, copyright administration, performing rights organizations, etc.
2. Register new compositions with domestic Performing Rights Organizations on behalf of our writer/publisher clients when needed
3. Claim and confirm our compositions for large scale projects with various Digital Music Services as well as one-off inquiries
4. Submit cue sheets for TV and film productions
5. Help the Creative Synch team with organizing internal pitching database, Disco, by tagging music, filling in missing release dates, album artwork, etc.
6. Assist Creative Synch Coordinator on gathering assets and designing new music and events mailers
7. Help coordinate internally with concert invites and client RSVP’s
8. File completed synch licenses
9. Organize data in our synch report
10. Research catalog/album release details
11. Draft mechanical licenses
12. Maintain our publishing roster with up-to-date information
13. Send physical mailings (CDs/Vinyl) to our clients (music supervisors, ad agencies, etc.)
14. Administrative assistance with correspondence, data entry, and general office duties
15. Related duties as assigned

General Skills:

1. Basic understanding of music publishing and copyrights
2. Ability to navigate a large catalog of diverse songwriters and artists
3. Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
6. Music lover with great attitude, eager to learn music publishing business and willing to take initiative
